Citroen cars are manufactured in Paris, France, and were the first cars to be mass-produced outside America. The Citroen company was founded in 1919 by Andre Citroen. Citroen cars have an association, for many, with being high-quality and durable. Some Citroen cars are reported to have clocked up over 400,000 kilometres.
In 1934 citreon introduced the first mass-produced front wheel drive car. Other famous Citroen models include the H Van, the 2CV, the DS and the CX.
In 1972, the Citroen SM was awarded the USA Car of the Year. Citroen vehicles have won numerous Car of the Year awards.
