Wolseley cars were made by the British manufacturer the Wolseley Motor Company. The company was set up in 1901 and continued to make cars until 1975. The company was started by Herbert Austin, who worked at a sheep shearing company but had an interest in cars. The first Wolseley cars were sold to the public in 1901.
Today the Wolseley car brand is owned by Nanjing Automobile Group. The Wolseley sheep shearing business is still going today as Wolseley plc.
